Treasure in Broken Clay Jars
By Hugh Ross
We’re all broken jars, as it says in 2 Corinthians, and we all have this light inside the broken jar. That light … is the Holy Spirit. Now our temptation, when we look at our deficiencies and our weaknesses, is we try to hide them from people. … But it tells us in 2 Corinthians 4, “Don’t hide your weakness, rather let God’s Holy Spirit shine through the cracks so that people can see God’s glory shining through your weaknesses.” … Each of you has a weakness, just like I have, or a deficiency—and it’s going to be more than one. I’ve got many. Let God use your weaknesses and your deficiencies so that His Holy Spirit can shine through, impact people, and bring them to faith in Jesus Christ.
