There’s a Good Chance God
Will Almost Kill You

When someone is going through a tough time we like to say, “Don’t worry, God won’t give you more than you can handle.” It sounds nice and is semi-inspirational, kind of like saying, “Whatever doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger!”

One slight problem with this line of thinking: God will often give us more than we can handle. In fact, there will be times when God practically kills us.
