Shrewd as Snakes and
Innocent as Doves
Mark Batterson shares his testimony with a group of college students at Biola University, challenging them to find current and relevant ways to communicate the Gospel and fulfill the mission.
“I don’t care if you’re in business or ministry or anything in between. We need to do business as mission and mission sometimes as business. I just don’t see in different categories. Being shrewd as a snake means that we see the God-ordained opportunities that are around us as we seize them.”
“I just think that loving God with all of your mind includes this ability to see opportunities, to create things in a new way, and to do things differently, and part of that is just understanding the people we’re trying to reach. … We’ve got to find new ways, new wine skins, to communicate the Gospel message.”
Run time is 47 minutes.
